THis item is a 1998 Mattel \"Happy Holidays\" Black Velvet Barbie. She is one of the dolls specifically made as Christmas gifts. She is stunning with her platinum blonde hair, all in an up-do, little ringlets around her pretty face. She has blue eyes, painted eyelashes and a RARE closed-lips smile. Her long formal ball gown is stunning, full and to the floor, black velvet with silver sparkling accents all around the skirt. The bodice of the gown is tight fitting, black velvet, silver waist belt, long sleeved, with silver accents on the cuffs. The bright pink \"silk\" stole adds a splash of color to set this whole outfit off. Her tiara is Black velvet with silver accents, to match the gown. She is wearing her standard \"diamond\" earrings and ring. This doll is mint, never removed from the box. Her box is also mint, no rubbing, creases, tears, stains or fading. She is a true collectors doll that I paid 39.95 for in 1998. She comes from a non smoking, pet free household
